Also Known as “Mom”

Today was a very super busy day.  Not only was it Maddie’s birthday party it was also a graduation open house for a little girl I use to babysit and a neighbor girl’s birthday party too.  I had no idea what to get her for her birthday.  I thought about getting her a gift certificate for those places that sell music for MP3 players but to be honest I had no idea if she even had one.  So I decided to go the safe route.  I got her a cute outfit for the summer.  since a girl can never have too many clothes it was a hit!!!  Phew…

Well today was Maddie’s birthday party.  Even though her birthday isn’t until the end of the month we decided to do it early so we could get on people’s summer calendar’s.  They fill up so fast.  The party went really well and she made off with a stash of toys.  She got tons of Littlest petshop… and we only got one duplicate. 

A little run down of the fun time.  We started off making crowns for the princess party.  We then had way too much pizza.  Followed by gifts and cake.  The party ended with a little over an hour of water slide and slip and slide time.  It was a really great day and I have tons of pics to get through now.

Who gave you your last balloon, and what was the occasion?  I think the last ballon that I got was when I had Logan last August.  I believe it was from the girls.

Who gave you your last scolding, and what was it for?  I bet it was Allie.  She likes to tell me No No momma you naughty.

Who gave you your last attaboy, and why?  That was probably Maddie… she always like to tell people how much she thinks they are “cool” for what they are doing.

Who gave you your last haircut?  Jodi my neighbor about 2 months ago.

Who gave you your last massage?  Last August just before I had Logan.  Man do I miss those pregnancy massages!!!  Well not the pregnancy though.

Am I the only one that has no idea what to get my hubby for father’s day?  I have already really gotten him something, a brand new grill about a month ago, but it’s no fun to get nothing on the actual day.  I thought about taking the kids over to best buy this morning but what the heck would we get him???   Those tech guys aren’t always the easiest to buy for.  I actually have an idea but now the question is finding the time.  We have 14 Six year old girls coming over to our house tomorrow afternoon for Maddie’s 6th birthday.  so needless to say I already have   on my plate.  But hey I’m a mom of 3 kids under 5 I can do anything LOL.

So we are one step closer to being able to go camping this summer.  I went and picked up the camper from the dealership yesterday that was fixing the part that allows the camper to pop up.  It’s fixed and ready to go and the next step is some inside fixing up. 

As I start the check list of things to get the camper 100% ready I think I’ve come to the realization that the 3 inch max mattress that we have on the beds may not be enough.  So I think it’s time that I look into a mattress topper for the mattress other wise I think we are all going to be sore after a few nights on those beds.

A few other things we are adding to it this summer is a portable A/C unit. Maddie experience a bit of heat stroke one time and it was really horrible and we don’t want to see that again. I also think I’m going to give a thorough cleaning as it hasn’t been use in almost 2 years. Oh the things we go through to have fun in the summer LOL.

Right now as I sit here and listen to the girls, I can not help but giggle.  They are playing school at their little picnic table.  They each have a pen and a few pieces of paper.  Maddie being the more dominant sister had to “tell” Allie how it is. She is telling Allie that she can not use her most favorite pen that she has had since she was a baby.  It is one of those silly logo pens. The really funny thing is that it’s a pen that I got a couple of weeks ago from my local MOPs group.

The stories and ideas that she comes up with just blows my mind. However I must say listening to my little girls play is always a great sound especially since they are playing so well, even with Maddie bossing Allie around! Well now the school is turning into a fight zone so I had better go be the principal.

Tonight as I sat down and was going through my e-mail I realized I had gotten back up on all of my surveys. Go figure, this is a very regular realization for me. I decided to tackle a few tonight and get caught up.

A lot of the surveys that I take are for the reason of a company collecting market research on a certain product. There are so many times that I am certain that I will qualify for the opportunity based on the prequalifying questions, that I prepare myself to give my opinion. Well if you know me well you also know this is something that I love to do, however I do work really hard to take into consideration that I’m not always right. This is a very hard thing to do as a mom, woman, and an adult still dealing with ADD. However I found an outlet for giving my opinion without anyone else having to tell me I’m wrong LOL, good thing for surveys all about my opinion!

So tonight as I took a survey I got disspointed that I didn’t actually fit the criteria, it was then that I had to remind myself that it was just another survey and there are always more. What a silly thing to have go through my head though!!!

When was the last time you had your hands in dirt?   It has been about 2 weeks when my babysitter was last here and I spent my time planting my plants.

When was the last time you had your hands in clay?  Way too long… I took a pottery class in highschool and I loved it.  I would love to take a class for fun again one day.

When was the last time you had your feet in mud?  Gosh i can’t remember but in’s been within the last year I bet.

When was the last time you had your feet in sand?  TODAY, we live about 5 miles from the lakeshore and can get to the beach whenever we want to.  This was the first time this year and I love that feeling of hitting soft beautiful sand. 

What part of your life could use a serious cleansing?  I’d really like on cleaning up my organization of my life as a whole.  If I could get my stuff together then so many other parts that seem off will fall into place.  The first organization I need to do get deeper in the word and more often.  the more I turn to H\im for guidance then the better off everything will be.  I can do nothing without Him, but with Him nothing is impposible.
