Friday 5: The Lucky Ones

Among people you know, who seems to be lucky in love? Really the list could go on and on as so many of my family and friends have been very blessed in the love department.

Among people you know, who seems to be lucky with money? Oh gosh I have no idea… I know I feel blessed with what we recieve and I need to be better at making it go further.

Among people you know, who’s lucky to be alive? Aren’t we all?  My Dad beat cancer the summer of 2007 so he happy to be able to keep on going as long as God has planned for him.

Among people you know, who seems to have the worst luck?  I seem to have bad luck if I say so myself.  I don’t do things on a small scale if I get hurt I do it good and if I mess up I really mess up.

What kinds of good-luck charms do you own or carry? I don’t own any or carry any because I really don’t believe in luck persay but in a plan being executed through my maker.

Sickies UPDATE

Well Logan still has the ear infection and has to go on a new drug. However Allie’s lungs are clear and the meds are still working in her system so she was all set. I hate when the kids are sick, especially around the same time and near the Holidays. It seems to be the trend over the last 5 1/2 years. Maddie was sick on so many holidays when she was little and her ear infections really knocked her down and out.

Bath night

Tonight is bath night… not something we look forward to because getting 3 kids bathed and in bed is always a task in it’s self.  But it’s become a longer task now that Maddie likes to take showers and the other 2 still bathe. Once we’ve run the water fro the bath it takes a bit for our water heater to warm up enough for Maddie to take her warm shower she likes to take.  Logan and Allie don’t care for the shower right now unless I’m in there and so we can’t shower all of them to save on water either.  I so wish we had a tankless water heater. It would be so nice to have hot water always on demand. We looked into the price of them once just for curiosity and wow that won’t be happening for a long time. It’s the upfront cost that would hurt us versus the gas bill right now.

Oh well wish us luck sometimes Maddie will conceed and take a bath with the other two and it goes much faster too!!!!

Sickies

It’s official the sickies can go away now!!! Allie was diagnosed with bronchitus on Dec 29th and Logan with a double ear infection. Well this morning Allie woke up with her left ear draining like crazy and Logan seems to not be better yet. He’s stumbling all over the place. Major drainage of the nose and just still not right. So off we go back tomorrow to the docs. Oh the joys of winter!!! On a good note Maddie has been really healthy since she started school so maybe they are just getting it out of their systems.

Bees

Recently we had a problem with a few bees that were in  our attic coming through a light fixture at the top of stairway upstairs.  For the longest time we had no idea where they were coming from till I noticed that the light didn’t seem to be tight against the ceiling and it needed to be tightened down.  Well the bees stopped coming and we totally forgot about it till Maddie pointed it out again to day.  Well I needs a new piece for the frame to make it work.  It was a light fixture that came from Home Depot in the Progress lightingline. Well they no longer make the same frame. Hopefully the Progress lighting can help us out though through the company direct. I sure hope so I don’t want any more bees this coming spring and summer.

When in Orlando…

Don’t spend time looking for watches.  When Joel went down there back in October the other guy he traveled with was all about hitting really expensive watches.  Joel even tried on a $10,000 Rolex in one of the stores they went to.  Granted he could buy replica watches for 98% less than that and still be a content and happy man in life.  I just find it sad Joel had to spend his time going to watch shops rather than enjoying some other fun places in Orlando. 

So remember that when you are in Orlando for your next or first visit…watches can wait enjoy the fun and beauty Orlando offers.

Friday 5: Seconds

What’s a dish you always go back for seconds of, even if you know you’ve had enough?   Chocolate of any type always calls me back for more!!!  I have a hard time turning it down even when I am completely full.

For how many seconds can you hold your breath? Oh gosh I have no idea… it’s been a really long time since I last tried to see how long I can.  Back when I was a kid we would have contests in the pool to see who was the best at this.

What was the second-best thing about your New Year’s celebration?  The second best thing was that the kids got into bed at a decent time even after having some fun.

What was your most recent second-hand purchase?  I bought clothing for both Maddie and Logan.

A second-degree burn on human skin can be identified by the blistering it causes. When did you last suffer a second-degree burn?  My worst, first, and last second degree burn happened a couple weeks before I had Allie on my foot.  I was so happy for the pain meds from the c-section so I didn’t have to feel the pain in my foot anymore.
