Friday 5: Eat and Drink

What’s something you will not eat unless you also have ketchup?  There really isn’t anything… I like ketchup but it only is truly a condiment to me.

What’s something you will not drink unless it is served on ice cubes?  Water at restaurants!!!!!!!

What’s something you will not eat unless it is served between slices of bread? Again like the ketchup…. I love bread but it’s a side thing to me.  I’ll even eat a hamburger with out bread.

What’s something you will not drink unless you have a straw? I guess I am not as picky as my husband likes to say I am because I don’t need a straw ever, but I use them when they are there.

What’s something else you will not eat except under very specific circumstances? I really can’t think of anything and I even stopped to eat breakfast to think about it and still nothing…

Camping this week…

Well we are off camping for the next 5 days. This is a much needed vacation for the family and myself as well. We are staying in Ludington at a place called Poncho’s Pond. I recently got a new product to try that is a bed bug encasement. It’s called Bug Zip and it’s to keep those pesky little bed bugs off from your clothing and what not. Since campers I am guessing are just filled with bedbugs I could not think of a better place to give the product a try.

So far I am very pleased with how they kept the girls clothing dry when we first got here. That is a story in it’s self since we forgot to empty the water heater tank before winter and it cracked big time this winter. It ended up spraying water every where near the back bunk when we hooked up the water yesterday. So not only are my kids clothing bed bug free it saved me a trip to do laundry. Since water can get into anything and it was not on the clothing then their clothing has to be 100% bug free so I’m really happy with the product so far!!! If a Bug bug preventer also saved me lots of time and hassle from water incident then it gets my seal of approval.

Not sure how much most of you know about bed bugs but they are every where we go and there is nothing you can do to fully get rid of them.  however with this new product you can prevent someone else’s bed bugs from coming home with you and getting into your stuff.  This leads to the down fall of the product in some ways because you should not bring the bad home with you when you travel.  Leave it where you are since they can attach themselves to the zipper.  However if this is the only downfall and I have already found on advantage that isn’t even part of why they made the product then all is well.

9th Anniversary

Wow I can not believe it has been 9 years since I married my first true love and best friend in life.  It has been the best 9 years I have ever spent.  We have grown so much and I love him more still every day.  The children and life we have created and nurtured together is truly a blessing from God and I could not be any happier!!!  Thank you babe for being everything I ever needed and so much more… God truly created us to be one!!!

Life

I feel so lucky for my life right now… My husband has a stable job and even a side job he does at night when all of the rest of us are in bed for a friend.  But I know that everyone is not doing as well as we are.  I wish that our TV commercials were not filled with commercials about debt consolidation, or the new filled with doom and gloom economy. Thankfully though for us I know that God will only put us through trials we can bear and he is looking out for those who love him. It’s not a perfect world and we are human and make our own mistakes but thankfully when it’s all said and done we can hope to hear God say “Well done my good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!” For those things are what help me to get through trials even if I do not handle them correctly.

Friday 5: Bugs

What bugs truly freak you out? I do not like spiders of any type… but anything creepy and crawly that can climb on you is just yuck!!!

Which Bugs Bunny cartoon do you remember most fondly? One where the hunter kept trying to shove the gun down the hole and kept shooting himself instead.

What bugs you most about your life online? It can be addiciting to visit certain sites and that can take away from my time meant for my home life and family.

Which of your favorite websites seems often to be especially buggy? I would say swagbucks and not so much the site but the tool bar you get from their site.

When were you last too sick to get out of bed? It has been at least a few months but I don’t want to jinx myself.

Run away…

With all of the crazy things were a doing around here I really wish i could just jet set off for some fun and sun on a few Caribbean cruises. One would not be enough LOL. If you have ever been on one you most likely understand because they so totally rock. An all inclusive hotel that takes you to new places every morning for the whole day. All you have to do is eat and enjoy yourself. I can not wait to take my whole family on their first one. It’s been 9 years for me and I so miss it!!! Granted the Sun time alone with the awesome food is all I need these days with our major projects to just try to unwind.

Running

Well I ran another mile again last night… my legs were a bit sore at first but they actually got better the longer I had been running. When I am done running I come home and drag the dog for a mile walk down and hopefully as we do this more she will get more peppy through the walk :) .   Tonight I will run another mile and then tomorrow I will up it about to 1.5 if possible.   I’m actually having fun doing this. 

On other fronts musical bedrooms is going well and even the basement is in a state where people can come over and enjoy it.  We are also having Maddie’s friend and family parties this Sat so we have been keeping super busy with that.  I love busy times because I feel better all around when I feel accomplished.

AAA

About 2 weeks ago AAA came in for a life insurance lead we had through them. Assuming that our exams came back well we would be approved. Well the exam went really well and all of our results were super great. This is probably the healthiest we’ve ever been. Granted this week I started running a mile a night last night and hope to be up to at least 1.5 miles by Sat. My goal is to run the Spring Lake Heritage Festival 5k at the end of the month. So this will make me even healthier than those exam test results. I am so excited about how this could change my life by being a stress relief and a way to tone my body down to a comfortable 8 maybe even a 6!!! I can fit into my size 8′s from before I had Maddie but they are still a bit too tight.
