I am truly puzzled… prior to getting new life insurance on Joel and I we never got life insurance quotes in the mail. Now we are getting them all of the time. It makes no sense at all since we are all set now and have great coverage. However it has left me wondering where all of these quotes were a few months ago when we had to get new insurance coverage because we use to have it through Joel’s old job. I tell you it’s madness how we end up on mailing lists.
Friday 5: Ugly
What’s so ugly it’s kind of cute? Lizzards…but I will not ever own one. YUCK
What’s the ugliest article of clothing in your wardrobe? A snowcoat of course…. is there anything attractive about a bulky coat?
What’s the ugliest car on the streets today? I would have to say the Chrysler PT Cruiser Convertible…who ever though it would be a good idea to make a fairly ok looking mini-van/car mixed into a convertible?
Under what circumstances are you most likely to whip out your ugliest behavior? When someone puts down my kids in any way… they may not be perfect but I love them for who they are.
Which of the United States of America has the ugliest shape? I don’t know about ugliest but Texas has a very odd almost funny shape to it.
Lemonade
I am thankful for all of the prayers we recieved. Grandma was able to leave her earthly body last night and arrived in His loving arms where she is celebrating her new life with Jesus. The prayers were felt today as we had no power from the storm last night, our shower broke when I went to take a shower this morning (tub broke last week), & I swiped the corner end of another car with my trailer on the way to get it repaired for something else. I’m going to follow one of my Grandma’s many sayings and take those lemons we’ve gotten over the last week and make some awesome lemonade. God is only giving me as many lemons as I can handle!
Travel
I went to see my Grandfather today and he is doing ok. You can tell that his mind is working a mile a minute and he mind is on all of his travels. One of his favorite places to talk about are his Branson vacations. He and my Grandma have been to Branson, MO many times on their way to their Trailer in Boloxi, MS. Even in a rough time for my Grandfather he memories of vacations spots are super clear. Gotta love hearing about other people’s favorite places to visit.
Friday 5: Baseball Cliches
In what way this week did you strike out? We struck out both times we were in Detroit attemping to catch our connecting flight. Each time there were mechanical delays and they were always at bad times….
In what way this week did you hit a home run? Our trip was succesful and we had a great time even with all of the hard times going on at home.
In what way this week did you make a twin killing? I have no idea….
In what way this week did you make a diving save? I had to run through Detroits airport to get us food and made it back just in time to board the plane.
Who saved the game for you in the late innings? My husband always catches my mistakes at the last min and I am sure this week was no exception.
Our Family
We just need tons of prayers right now. Joel’s Grandmother passed away on Friday afternoon. We left for Pittsburgh on Sat early am and while we were their asking for prayers for Joel and his family on Monday my sister and 1 1/2 month old nephew were in a car accident. Everyone was ok and just shook up but my mom was at the hospital with my sister when she got a call that my Grandmother had a mini heart attack and was not doing well at all. We just got home last night at 10pm and we were packed and back on the road again this morning. We stopped to see my Grandma on our way out of town for Joel’s Grandma’s visitation tonight and funeral tomorrow. Unfortunetaly my Grandma only seems to have a few days left max according to her hospice care. So we will be doing this all over again in a few days I know that Heaven is where our Grandma’s want to be but it’s a bit much all at the same times especially since my Dad’s dad is in a rehad center from a broken hip while we were gone 3 1/2 weeks ago and his Parkinsons is getting really bad and my Dad is worried he may not be around long either….
Just send them up please for all of us as we celebrate the lives of these great women and that my Grandma is able to go peacefully and pain free.
