What’s your favorite sports movie?
What’s your favorite romantic comedy film? How the heck do you just pick one? This category happens to be my most favorite kinds of movies. Cluesless has to be in there because the first Joel ever saw it was the same day we shared our first kiss. We are also very fond of You’ve Got Mail because it came out about a year after we met in through AOL chat!
What’s your favorite animated Disney movie? Gosh that is a hard one because there are so many great ones!! I think Cars would be at the top of my list followed by Monsters Inc, Toy Story, and Pete’s Dragon up there as well. We are looking forward to Cars coming out in the Summer of 2011. That will be a whole family goes to the movies for sure. I also can not wait to see Up here in the next couple of weeks as it is #2 on our Net flix queue!
What’s your favorite non-Disney movie musical? Again this is not fair I have to choose one. I really love to watch musicals as well and even was in one in High School. If I had to pick one though it would be Grease followed by Sound of Music, Moulin Rouge, Evita, and Annie Get Your Gun (the one I was in) being all tied in my mind.
What’s your favorite stranger-in-a-strange-land / fish-out-of-water movie? Humm not sure as I totally don’t get how to place it with a movie. Maybe it’s about what movie do I like that is not normally my type and that would be Strange Brew I guess…
When ever I go to Walmart the only register that is open near the end where I park is the one that you can buy cigars and cigarettes in. The thing that drives me nuts is that the people that go in that lane will often have a huge cartful and technically it’s suppose to be a 20 or less lane but because they need to buy cigars or cigarettes they are allowed in that lane as well. All I want to do is get out of there and not wait in one of the 4 lanes that are actually open for them when they have more than 20 items. GRRRR…..
Well we are finally getting closer to the bathroom looking like itself again. We need to do some touch up paint, get the shower head working right, trim, and mirrors. It feels so good to be at this point already. I really should take some more pics now that a lot more of the stuff that makes it look great is in there and settled now.
I swear we jumped from summer to winter so fast that I some how missed fall in there. I was so cold in bed the other night that I washing for the first time ever that we had a heated blanket on our bed. It’s not too often I am even cold in bed but for some reason I was and didn’t sleep as well as normal till Joel came to bed. It’s like having a personal heater in the bed when he is there and I’m not talking dirty, he just has a higher body temp than me and it warms even the room up some.
With my decision to be a stay at home mom I knew there would be times money would be a bit tight, stress would be common, and I might feel the need for more. When I hit times like that I’ve often found myself looking for ways I can do some sort of job from right here in my home. More and more jobs are becoming the type that allow this to be less of a dream and more of a reality. There are even companies that are looking for call center services but to save money they use a large company that has employees answer questions and call via a forward to their home phone. I’m not sure how well this would work for me but I have often gotten close to looking into it further. Granted it’s normally squashed when I find I barely have time to cook as healthy for my family because I’m already so busy.
Who in your life seems especially resilient? My husband as he really rolls well with the punches figuratively!
What characteristics would a person need to develop in order to become resilient? I would some one who is fairly easy going and has been through enough things to know that sweeting the small stuff gets you no where in life.
In what areas of your life do you think you’ve been resilient? I think it would be the physical things I’ve been through the last 7 years between the c-sections and broken foot I’m still chugging along.
It is often said among educators that a strong indicator of resiliency in children is the presence of a “charismatic adult.” In your own childhood, who was the charismatic adult who inspired you to grow positively? There are just so many people who influenced my life. It dates back to Girl Scouts and my mom as a Leader and all of the other leaders in my life along the way.
Can one be tough and resilient at the same time, or are they opposite traits? I would say in some ways they are one in the same but you don’t have to be tough to be resilient and just because you are tough it does not make you resilient either.
That is the precentage of completion we are at with the bathroom. I am so excited to finally be at a point where we can use the bathroom again and it’s not mid construction. It is really coming together and I could not be happier. Joel and my Dad have done an awesome job and the result really shows too.

Is it wrong to already be thinking about spring? I know I am because I feel we were jipped out of a true Fall because I love being able to wear jeans and long sleeve shirt outside and be totally comfortable. Granted once spring does come it will have meant we already went to Hawaii and are home. I know Maddie keeps asking us if we are going to go on a Spring Break this year. I am about 110% sure with our trip only a month before but it sure is tempting when we get e-mails for Myrtle beach vacation rentals. We just love that place and would love to get there again soon but unfortunately it will have to wait atleast another year or two before I can actually click on those e-mails and actually try to book something for us and the kids.
When in the past seven days were you loudest? Probably the last day or two since I am starting to get stuffed up and it effects how loud I talk. Even though I am not known for being all that quite LOL.
In the past seven days, what was loud but not noisy? The monitor for Logan’s room got turned up so it was louder but it still didn’t stop me from sleeping.
In the past seven days, what was not especially loud but quite noisy? My kids playing together in the basement they weren’t screaming but it was just plain hard to think over the noise.
In the past seven days, what’s something that was not allowed? Allie and Logan were not allowed alone in the basement after all of the naughty stuff they have been doing when left alone.
What are those clouds gathering on your horizon for next week? Getting the Garage comepletly cleaned out and camper out of here so we can get even closer to normal for us.
