Well we made it to Oahu Hawaii no problem yesterday and totally love it. Today we went to Pearl Harbor and are going to adventure tonight. However I want to talk about our plane ride here yesterday. When we got on the plane there was a small blanket and an even smaller pillow on each sheet. I could not for the life of me bring myself to use that pillow. That pillow could have so many germs and allergens underneath the cover aka the paperish pillowcase.
I have recently started on a hunt for a new set of pillows for our camper. I can not stand all of the allergens like dust and bugs that get into our camper getting into something that we lay our heads on. I know you are wondering why the camper first since we only use it 4 months out of the year but it’s way grosser than my bedroom is and I have bought those special allergen protecting covers for them so this is start one of our pillow overhaul.
So I was lead to an awesome site about allergen pillows by a company I work with to make my blog better. The company is called National Allergy. They are all about making many of our household products safer for us. For Allie and I that is so important because of our lovely allergies we both deal with and all of the icky sickies we get from them. This is also why we are dealing with the camper first because my allergies are out of control in the summer and even worse when camping.
National Allergy’s pillows starting fighting against allergens like dust, mold, and bacteria the min you start using their pillows. For me that is huge because those are present all of the time in the camper. Everynight when we all go to sleep in the camper we wake up in the morning with a bit of moisture because all of the bodies creating heat in there. Moisture is the reason that mold and bacteria grow so why not have a pillow that does not allow the moisture to get into and creating a breeding ground for those issues Allie and I get from that. These pillow are made with a filter so that air cn escape from the pillow but now allow the bad stuff in our out. I think I might just have to give this pillo a try and if we like it I’ll be ordering 5 for our camper.
