What book did you struggle to get through but is something you’re glad you’ve read? I can not think of one for the life of me since I love to read and have read so much the good and bad blend together too much.

What’s a book whose popularity has baffled you? The Da Vinci Code….for so many who say they are Christian to love a book that helped so many other non believers to stand firm in their beliefs is puzzling to me.

If you could make everyone you know read one book, what would it be? The Bible because once you read the truth it begins to show itself to you.

What book have you liked less and less as time has gone by? This is really the same one as the first one…maybe if we talk about kids books I might say all Mercer Mayer ones.

What book have you loved more and more as time has gone by? I will go with a kid book again and say I love you this much!

What’s better the sloppier it gets? Sloppy Joes all of the way!

Who gets more beautiful the angrier he or she gets? Our middle child it’s hard to not laugh when she gets angry.

What turns out better when it’s less planned or less organized? Family nights or getaways that are for relaxing.

When do less focus, less motivation, and less determination mean more success? I’m not really sure that they do on their own because you have to continually work to grow and learn but at the same time let go and let God.

When is impatience a virtue? I really don’t think it is because there is a life plan for each and everyone of us however we need to hear God’s voice and let it be the driving force.

Some friends have invited you over to watch the big game. What do you bring for the snack table? Either a Veggie Pizza or meatballs.

What do you bring for a potluck lunch at work (or school)? A deluxe salad!!!

It’s a regifting party! Everyone brings some gift they never opened or used and leaves with someone else’s. What do you bring? I pick from the small pile we have in our storage room.

You’re going camping for a long weekend with a bunch of friends. Everybody agrees to bring one thing that others often don’t think to bring. What’s your contribution? Crescent Rolls with Cinnamon and Sugar.

Road trip! The car in which you’re going to spend twenty hours with your closest friends only has a CD player. What do you bring? Road games because it is so much more fun to talk!

This past week, what word would you have completed the “If I Only Had a _________” song title with? If I only had an extra hour.  I am finding that we are going to be rather busy this fall and there doesn’t seem to be enough time in the day.

What have you recently seen that seemed less likely than flying monkeys? I never though Allie would say she did not like school.  These longer days are rough on her.

If you could have shouted “Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain!” sometime this past week, when would it have been especially appropriate? When I was trying to get the kids to multiple places at one time and thought I might lose it.

Who has been your Good Witch of the North recently? My husband of course!

This weekend, where does the Yellow Brick Road lead? Our first soccer game of the season for Allie and hopefully getting some stuff done.

When you’re having trouble staying awake, what are some things you do to make sure you don’t drift off to sleep? Get up and move around or drink a big glass of water.

What’s most likely to cause you a prolonged period of not enough sleep? Stress of too many activities in our lives…it tends to be during the school year thing for me.

When you’re going through a prolonged period of not enough sleep, what parts of your daily routine are likely to change, and how? I tend to really lack in the cleaning of the house and being active.

Who in your life seems regularly to have not enough sleep? My husband but yet he still gets by…I just don’t know how he does it.

In what ways does your personality change when you go through a prolonged period of not enough sleep? I get really cranky and less chipper and willing to help others.

What were the circumstances surrounding your most embarrassing (physical) stumble? My worst physical stumble as of recently was actually 3 years ago when I was running up our back stairs and as I started to slip pushed hard into the front of my right foot to avoid hitting my shin bone.  Unfortunately that cause me to break my foot in 5 places, tear my ligaments, and dislocate 4 of the joints. Next time I’ll just hit my shin bone!

As summer winds down and autumn makes its approach, what are you most looking forward to in the changing of the seasons? There is just too much to love about fall!!!  There are schedules, football, jeans, leaves, cool crisp nights, and lots of time still left for being outside!

What’s something you’ve recently fallen for? Getting organized and cooking as much as possible to make life easier for everyone…it just sounds so awesome!

Of what has there been a shortfall in your life recently? Yeah the said above issues I dream of living in again.

Has there been any kind of windfall in your life in the past few months? Summer and the crazy times it brings.

What kind of magnets do you have on your fridge? Ones that we have collected from places that we have visited or homemade ones from the kids.

What’s your preferred type of glue? The kind that holds well but doesn’t make a huge mess and is easy to clean up.

When is it good to feel sticky? After a really good workout… I am not going any dirtier than that.

What was the last thing you wrote upon a Post-It? I use them all of the time so probably a few days ago.

How much pancake syrup do you put on your pancakes? I don’t really care to use syrup on my pancakes…I prefer just plain butter or even some peanut butter!

What was your most memorable alarm-clock failure? Black Friday morning when Allie was a baby and Joel seriously messed it up…we got so lucky that Allie woke up and we were able to get to most things.  Now I set a second alarm or like this year we never went to bed LOL!

What item recently in the news do you find most alarming? People wanting to take away more and more rights of Christians away from us in a public way.

Of car alarms, burglar alarms, and smoke alarms, which do you consider most effective or useful? Smoke alarms since they save the most lives.

If the shoplifting alarm is tripped as you exit a store, what do you do? Stand there and get out my receipt.

If you owned some kind of personality alarm to warn you upon first meeting someone of likely trouble in the relationship, what would be five qualities you’d set it to detect? Unloyal, fake, non believer, unhappy, and abusive.

What could serve as physical evidence that you sometimes lose focus? My house…. seriously LOL I have ADD.

What could serve as physical evidence that you are loved? My smile in my face!

What could serve as physical evidence that you’re from wherever you’re from? My so called Michigan accent and way we say words.
