Tonight we are heading over to my cousins to celebrate the New Year with our two families. I am looking forward to this as it’s a new a fun thing we have never done. My cousin moved to Baltimore in 2004 with her husband and they we were there until 2009 when they moved to Hawaii. They are the ones that we spent out time with while we were in Oahu. It was a very neat adventure with them as they had gotten to know the island fairly well and took us to all kinds of neat places. We were even able to see whales when we went to Makapu Point with them. We did not get to see any whale breeches but it was still just as amazing and that seeing that in Maui made it special to Maui! My cousin and her family moved home to Michigan in Feburary 2011 and it has been so great having her back in the same state!!! Hope you all have a safe night!

I swear my e-mail is full of weirdness these days and nothing seems to go to the spam folder like it should. The most interesting one that I recently have gotten is one from a company wanting to buy gold bullion. Is that like Chicken bullion??? I did not think that you could melt down gold and use it down the raod to make a great broth. Granted that makes me want to check this out but I have not had time since we have been so busy with our Christmas activities and all of the kids craziness from being home all of the time. It did make me chuckle to read though.

I feel like either I’m always losing things or just plain losing it. I’m sure it’s a perfect combination of those two things. Lately I can not seem to find either of the two different step stools that we have. I hope I can find them soon because it would putting dishes away for the girls so much easier. I know that they are soon going to be able to reach the shelves but with them constantly dragging the dining room chairs over and them being awkward in the space compared to what the step stool would be like and they both fold up. Now to find those on our big cleaning frenzy tomorrow!

So a couple of weeks ago I talked about how we had finally booked our vacation rental. I also talked about how we chose not to camp. Since then I have had some people ask me what made us not want to camp. Well to be totally honest it was because I was so afraid that we would have an rv travel emergency. With traveling that far there is so much more work to haul a trailer and though we could totally do it, the stress and the prep that we would need would be crazy. Plus there is added expenses that we would see really evening the costs out. I would not travel that far without some sort of Good Sam plan that is for sure!

The other night the hubby and I had a good talk about taxes and I hate that we lose so much money to taxes…it’s kind of crazy to think about really but it was just one of those talks. I’m not one to throw my political beliefs in your face as I feel it’s more important for us to follow God’s word on this. However we did talk a bit about merchant funding and if it’s effective or not. It’s just one of those things that our economy has had thrown at it to turn it around. I am curious to see if in a few years if it has really made a difference or not. Do you have strong feelings about this or are you like me and just trust that God is at work in everything and there is a reason for everything?

So the other day at our Christmas celebration with Joel’s Mom, Aunt, Uncle, and cousins his cousin from California was talking alot about some new furniture that they had gotten. It sounded really good but I don’t think I’ll be driving to California just for sectional sofa los angeles. Maybe someday we will get out and visit her but I don’t think in any way shape or form will we bring a couch home with us. Granted I don’t think we’ll drive if we do make it out there so flying back with a couch would be a story for all to hear!!!

The girls have a really nice crib for their dolls that was given to Maddie when she was 2 for Christmas from my parents. It is one of the most beautiful cribs that a little girl could hope for. I think it’s because it’s from a local amish furniture place. I hope that they are able to appreciate the beauty in it. I think it has made me dream of the day that I have a little extra money and can purchase some beautiful Amish furniture that is for our home and not for the girls. The local place just has some super beautiful stuff and I hope to be able to get some really soon!

Today Allie had her first big Dance thing.  Her dance place paired with another dance place and put together a show called “The Nutcracker all Jazzed up”  It was so cute to see Allie on the stage for the first time and she did a really good job for her first year of being in dance.  I can not wait for many more years of fun Dance recitals.

I recently was asked to take a look at a site and give my opinion about it. It was a site that does coupons for other site and this particular one I was asked to look at was for costume city coupons. This site looks a lot like another site I use to find coupons and so that part is neither good or bad because it just is. However the exact costume city coupons there are none to use so I can really say how I feel about their actual service that they wanted me to take a look at. My guess is that closer to Halloween that they had some really great deals for that company through their company and may even work a lot like the who groupon craze of websites out there. I’lll probably take a look again next year before Halloween so I can see what they are really about!

Well not me but my hubby is getting ready for his annual PA trip…granted this year they decided to hold it in Orlando to avoid the cold though it’s their annual meeting time for their company. I guess the good thing is that they will be saving some a href=”http://www.lowcostpower.com/pa”>pennsylvania energy. I can not imagine an electricty bill with that many computers all in one room. Ours is bad enough with one programer. They will be going in mid January and I am so jealous because we are going to probably see lots of snow then. Infact I can’t even start our snowblower so I can guarantee some major snowfall then if anyone wants to see some snow. I won’t have time to do much with my driveway either!!!
