Love my chiropractor

We just love our Chiropractor and when a friend on facebook today asked for a recommendation I was so happy to see about 10 out of the 15 people to share a name was for the same chiropractor we see. The other ones were not even for the same other places so I know I picked an awesome one. I love how much getting my spine and body aligned feels. I really need to get in next week again once life is back to normal. I’ve read that getting adjusted can help prevent stenosis of the spine on top of help so many ailments. It has helped us with SI joint pain, ADHD, sickness, headaches, sinus issues, reflux, and so many other things. Don’t get me wrong we still go to the doctor for infections and we believe in vaccinating but also believe there is a beautiful middle ground for taking care of your whole body!

Not my thing

We decided after our day of phone calls of telemarketing that we are over our home phone being constantly called for reasons we don’t care about. We recieved over 5 unsolicited calls today alone. Most were about credit card debt savings programs. The other ones were just strange though as one was about taking some survey about economy and the other one was about Paramedic Jobs. Ummm yeah but we are not science people let alone did we get a degree to be a paramedic. So off I went to Best Buy to buy a go phone to port our home number to. Once the number ports to the phone then we are going to port it to a google voice number. I know it’s not the most direct but you can’t port a home phone to a google voice number. Once it’s a google voice number we forward the call to our cells and a number if we do get another home phone option…but the spam calls will be more filtered and we can block those that get through. I am so happy about this!

Eighth Day of Christmas

On the Eighth Day of Christmas my true love gave to me eight maids a-milking. The eight Beatitudes in Matthew 5:3-10.
1.Blessed are the poor in spirit.
2.Blessed are those who mourn.
3.Blessed are the meek.
4.Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness.
5.Blessed are the merciful.
6.Blessed are the pure in heart.
7.Blessed are the peacemakers.
8.Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake.#ixzz1iRQSiFem

Happy New Year 2012

Welcome 2012!!! I am excited about some of the wonderful things we have planned in this coming year. We are going to see friends that we have not seen in 3 years, do lots of camping, hopefully get to Chicago for a weekend, and other great family moments. I really want to be intentional in having some great moments with my kids ones that they will remember for a long time! I am glad that evne though we did not get home till almost 1:30am last night that we were at a family fun time and one that did not require lots of bar supplies. I like a little alcohol here and there but so rarely that it’s not a big part of my life. I remember a time when I thought it was more important but so glad that my family and faith are so much more important.

Bad ad

Right now there all kinds of ads out there that don’t seem right since summer is so far away and we just got past Christmas. My favorite one I saw on was a home improvement show was for swimming pool fences. Ummm really do you not realize that a lot of the U.S. is in for a few months worth of snow and that is the last thing on our minds right now? Seriously that is like the summer outfits out at the store right now…sorry but my kids out growing their boots and snowpants mid winter can not be solved because all I can buy is bathing suits! Seriously stop jumping ahead our time and let things be what they are…it’s winter here I need winter stuff not summer stuff! Ok stepping off my soapbox!

Seventh Day of Christmas

On the Seventh Day of Christmas my true love gave to me seven swans a swimming. The seven swans are the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit: prophecy, ministry, teaching, exhortation, giving, leading and compassion. (Romans 12:6-8; Corinthians 12:8-11).

Goodbye 2011

Tonight we are heading over to my cousins to celebrate the New Year with our two families. I am looking forward to this as it’s a new a fun thing we have never done. My cousin moved to Baltimore in 2004 with her husband and they we were there until 2009 when they moved to Hawaii. They are the ones that we spent out time with while we were in Oahu. It was a very neat adventure with them as they had gotten to know the island fairly well and took us to all kinds of neat places. We were even able to see whales when we went to Makapu Point with them. We did not get to see any whale breeches but it was still just as amazing and that seeing that in Maui made it special to Maui! My cousin and her family moved home to Michigan in Feburary 2011 and it has been so great having her back in the same state!!! Hope you all have a safe night!

Weird

I swear my e-mail is full of weirdness these days and nothing seems to go to the spam folder like it should. The most interesting one that I recently have gotten is one from a company wanting to buy gold bullion. Is that like Chicken bullion??? I did not think that you could melt down gold and use it down the raod to make a great broth. Granted that makes me want to check this out but I have not had time since we have been so busy with our Christmas activities and all of the kids craziness from being home all of the time. It did make me chuckle to read though.

Losing it

I feel like either I’m always losing things or just plain losing it. I’m sure it’s a perfect combination of those two things. Lately I can not seem to find either of the two different step stools that we have. I hope I can find them soon because it would putting dishes away for the girls so much easier. I know that they are soon going to be able to reach the shelves but with them constantly dragging the dining room chairs over and them being awkward in the space compared to what the step stool would be like and they both fold up. Now to find those on our big cleaning frenzy tomorrow!
