Well it’s the end of 2008 and so many great things have happened through the year. I hope to do a phot reflect in the next few days. See you all next year!!!!
What’s one really cool/useful/nice thing you purchased for yourself this year? My dyson…even though it was considered my Christmas present it was totally picked out and wanted by me!!!!
What’s one area of your life you really improved this year? My whole body, mind, and soul make over. I want to get healthy in all of these areas and be the best mom, wife, and believer I can be.
Who or what was a regular source of encouragement or inspiration to you this year? Church and everything it involves as always.
What’s something nice you did for someone else this year? I try to make this an every day thing… I love to help others because of how it makes me feel. I hope that the things I do make a difference in peoples lives.
In what way was 2008 better than 2007? My family is moving into a new season of life… no more babies and more fun family stuff to come!
I hope you all had a wonderful and Merry CHRISTmas. We were a very busy family but it was very nice and went very well. I could not have asked for a more fun morning than yesterday morning when watching the wonder in my kids eyes as they recieved gifts!
Today we spent the day hitting the Cook family grandparents. Granted it started off with my sister and I high the clearance sale Target was having on all of it’s Christmas stuff. Let’s just say the kids stockings are set for next year now LOL!!!!
All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: “The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel”—which means, “God with us.” Matthew 1:22-23
May you find Peace in this Season of Joy!
So after Christmas I really need to get back on the weight loss program. I have been maintaining a weight now give or take 5 pounds for almost 5 months. But before I broke my foot I wanted to lose another 10-20 pounds. In an effort to make my self healthier this year in Body, Mind, and Soul I need to do this. So right now I am on the hunt for some weight loss products that allow someone who does not have a gym membership, and has to do low impact exercise for a bit longer the right way to lose these pounds and keep them off. I hope by this next summer I can maybe jog and use that to keep it off but I want to start now!
Do you have any good tips or products you can share because I would be totally open to hearing them out and wish me luck!!!
So I was reading through a friend from churches blog just a bit ago and she was talking about this really cool site she came across and I had to check it out. The site is called EBATES…. it’s like rebates but for online shipping.
You can get up to 26% Cash Back every time you shop online through them (though most are in the 4-6% cash back range). They have over 1000 stores in their system including Childrens Palce, Gap, Old Navy, Target, and Expedia. Plus they exclusive to them coupons, free shipping offers, and information on private sales! If you sign up with them (totally free and not even any personal info) they give you $5 right away. I connected my payments to my paypal account and will make $10 on Feb 14th 2009 already.
I would say they are comparable to Mom Points and other places that if you click through them to shop at your favorite merchants you can earn points, but the super great thing is that you earn money more like Discover type rewards!!!!
Check them out here.
I swear there were more and more motorcyclists on the roads this fall due to the climbing Gas prices that we experienced. However the question really was, was the money savings all that much to make up for the price tags on those suckers. I can’t say it would ever be worth it to me EVER! Granted I would need to have some really good motorcycle accident attorneysalready lined up
. I am a huge klutz and very accident prone as you all already know. So I would need to be very prepared to have an attorney represent me for taking out the first mailbox that the bike ever were to go buy under my driving. Thank goodness I’m afraid of the thought of even driving one!
What’s your favorite thing about the shoes you’re wearing (or the shoes you were most recently wearing)? Ok let me first start off by saying that these shoes are not cute or even in the best shape anymore but they are my favorite right now because my Power Steps that help my foot feel comfortable actually fit in them. Plus they are slip on shoes and I love easy being a mom of three young kids.
What’s your favorite thing about the people you work with (or the people you go to school with)? I don’t work or go to school. I guess you could say I work with my kids and my favorite thing about them is that they are so full of love and innocence. I get to experience this all of the times and I need to remember more often to step back and look at things through their eyes!
What’s your favorite thing about the climate where you live? I love that we have seasons. There are times (like right now) where I hate winter, or I’m feeling too hot from the summer heat (missing that feeling right now) that I could scream. However though I love how you can see God’s work as the beautifulness comes out in the cool of the Spring or the warmth of the Fall.
What’s your favorite thing about Friday? It means more family time in the weekend ahead!
What’s your favorite thing about the year coming to an end? That we can attempt to start fresh. I really hope to make some changes in how I deal with stress over this next year and knowing that this revelation has come so close to the New Year it’s as God is allowing me to let go and start fresh with him leading.
Well it seems that my foot is always going to be a journey for me ever since I broke it. Back before I broke my foot it would often get really sore near the heal if I didn’t wear shoes that have really good arch supports on them. I never knew there was an actual name for why it would hurt untill more recently. It’s call Plantar Fasciitis. Well the really funny thing is that I don’t notice it anymore, however my whole foot hurts a whole lot faster after being on it for longer periods. Not sure as my foot continues to heal though if I’ll have to deal with the Plantar Fasciitis again though since I tore right through the ligaments and tissue there and now they are a lot looser than they use to be. So maybe something good came out of my foot after all. LOL Gotta think positive right?
When did you last sleep in a bed outside your home? This past summer when we camping I slept in my Camper Bed quite a few times!!!
When did you last drive someone else’s car? I drove my Dad’s car on Black Friday because they had our van to be able to drive the kids back home.
When did you last cook in someone else’s kitchen? I cook in my Mom and Dad’s kitchen all of the time when we go over there, so probably the last time I helped cook there.
When did you last care for children who aren’t yours? I had my friend’s little girl here while she had to stay in the hospital with her youngest child. This was 2 weeks ago now.
When did you last do someone else’s job? I can’t really think of anything that falls into this category at all.
