What I am & am not Thankful for:
Normally I love to talk about the things I am thankful for but the one thing that came out of Thanksgiving this year is the one thing I am not Thankful for...
It's PUKING
We got a call after we left my parents making sure no one else was sick cause my Dad was getting sick... they also had all 3 kids over night. So we all thought it was his acid reflux acting up because he ate too much because he seemed fine all day yesterday and even came out here to bring the kids home with my mom.
That was till I got a call this morning and it was my sister saying she was super sick. Now normally she wouldn't call me but she announced at the Dinner table some big news with a shirt "Eating for Two" and she wanted to know if she should call the doc we both go to or if I knew what they'd say. So I walked her through what they told me the first time I went through that. She also told me that Dad was sick again today...
This was about the time that Joel was in the bathroom stuck to the potty. So I hoped it was just mere coincidence. Then at about 3 found out my sister's husband had join the rank of sick and my brother was now stuck on the toilet. At 4 Joel joined the puking ranks.....
Needless to say I am freaked out about what tonight might contain and I even made the girls choose one blanket and stuff animal and removed their comforters and gave them just fleece throw blankets because they are much easier to wash.
So I am not Thankful for PUKING but I am super Thankful for my Preggo Sister!!!

Hope!!!
Jeremiah 29:11 (New International Version)
'11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'
I just recently finished reading a series of books by Karen Kingsbury. In these 14 book (I know it sounds like a lot but I want more now) she has a very common theme that everyone in and around the Baxter Family learns/ realizes throughout the books. This verse is the leading force behind their lessons learned and it has had a huge impact on me as well, especially in this time when we are all seeing the effects of the economy and how we feel about the recent presidential election. No matter what though this verse is the truth and our hope.
There have been so many times in the years since I accepted Jesus as my Savior that I thought that I had to have everything figured out for my future. Little did I know or understand that I have no control but that there is already a great plan in place! This verse has been place in my life in the last few weeks so many times because it was time for me to finally understand it. From this verse alone the way I think of things has changed and how my faith must be the only thing that leads is clearly stamped on my heart. If this verse is not enough to understand that no matter what happens that God has a plan for us. A plan in which he will guide us, give us strength, and always be there. Then I'm not sure you really get the awesomeness of God at all. He is offering a life where fear no longer rules and faith in hope in a planned out future that one day leads to an unimaginable eternity with him. If you have no accepted this gift already then please consider it now. Because the other reality is that we do not know when he will come back and that is not something I'm ever willing to risk!
Matthew 24:42-44 (New International Version)
42 "Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. 43 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

Innocence of our Children
I was early to my MOPS group a couple of weeks ago and I decided to just sit back and enjoy the peace and quite while I listened to the Radio. A great new song came on the radio and I think that everyone should see it. So here it is from YouTube:
The Lyrics are:
"Casting Crowns: Slow Fade"
Be careful little eyes what you see
It's the second glance that ties your hands as darkness pulls the strings
Be careful little feet where you go
For it's the little feet behind you that are sure to follow
It's a slow fade when you give yourself away
It's a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day
It's a slow fade, it's a slow fade
Be careful little ears what you hear
When flattery leads to compromise, the end is always near
Be careful little lips what you say
For empty words and promises lead broken hearts astray
It's a slow fade when you give yourself away
It's a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day
The journey from your mind to your hands
Is shorter than you're thinking
Be careful if you think you stand
You just might be sinking
It's a slow fade when you give yourself away
It's a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day
Daddies never crumble in a day
Families never crumble in a day
Oh be careful little eyes what see
Oh be careful little eyes what you see
For the Father up above is looking down in love
Oh be careful little eyes what you see
