I was going through my pile of stuff that had started to accumulate over the months and ran across the invitation to Joels cousin’s wedding. One of the really neat parts was that it was one of those that you could plant and it would grow wild flowers eventually. When Joel and I got married there were not readily available wedding invitations like that. I don’t think that we would have used that kind but it’s just a really neat idea since those typically just get thrown in the trash. I tell you we will always live in a society though where every couple of years new and better will come out for things like weddings and children stuff that we will think man I wish they had that when…

I just got an e-mail from Target and it was talking all about a huge Online Early Back Friday Sale that they were going to have. I’m sorry but that to me is just as lame as the Cyber Monday that a lot of companies have started to really put a lot of big products and time into. I do enjoy Black Friday and Joel and I enjoy doing this together but when you start extending this long tradition to days beyond and now in the middle of summer I just don’t get it. Granted I am more of a traditional girl so it takes time to get use to new things.

When we went on our trip earlier this month we got the chance to meet and observe a very large omish family from Sturgis MI. They too were visiting the Creation museum and spending a few days there in Cinicinatti. They were a super larger but nice and well behave family group. One of the nights that they were there at the same time as we were a large amount of the children were in the pool. One of the kids set off the exit alarm by bumping the door. We the part that brought this memory back was an on and off smoke alarm of ours going off. It was 9 years old and needing to be replaced but none the less it did try to have some fun with us last night because it was so weak it did not sound like a fire alarm but more an exit alarm really.

For a while now I’ve been looking at a way that beyond the classes I take at the gym to be able to fit more exercise time in here at home. Well I had kind of narrowed down the idea of looking into treadmills so that I could find a used one at a good price that would fit our needs. Well when my parents said they were going to throw their treadmill into my Grandma’s poll barn for storage I jokingly said we’d store it for them. She took us up on the offer immediately and then a few days ago when they were moving told us to store it forever as they aren’t sure they will have room in their next house. I am so excited because now I can try to get a few miles each day in on the treadmill and still take classes at the gym that I enjoy come fall time. We are so thankful for this awesome gift from my parents.

So there have been times where I wanted to look into getting a bigger better camper. However the more I talk to others and see what other people have I am thinking we are pretty well off for a while longer in our camper. We were able to get it at a great price and it has more than enough room for our family to sleep in it, the main purpose, and stay cool and dry. I’m also realizing that we got it at a good time when it came to financing it as well. We had friends that had to drive to Iowa to get the right fit camper for their family because either the ones around here were not the right size or they were not able to get rv financing on it. We had no problems with either of those things and we are completely sheltered and safe in our camper. This alone has made me realize that I need to be thankful for this and look at the great things we are going to be able to do even as the kids grow. Because even as space gets to be tight there are things that the kids will no longer need for us to take with us and thus freeing up more storage space. I am reminded more and more that I need to be thankful for all of the great things I do have and just enjoy the moments. I know that we are staying putt in our house for a while and the camper can last us a long time!!!

I just love hearing about people who have just discovered Costco. It was just a few years ago for me but it really is just a place that you can get things you never dreamed that you could get at a Bulk Store. My favorite thing to hear about is when people see that they sell caskets there. A lot of comments that I’ve recently heard have been about if the next step is for them to get into funeral planning. If you think about that though that would really take it to a whole different level and honestly I pray that they never do. When we were visiting with some friends recently though they had just gone for their first time and just had the fever like we do. I just had to share the funny observation though that everyone seems to make.

In the fairy tale of your life, who is the knight in shining armor?  My husband of course granted it is only because I was bless by God for putting him in my life.

In the fairy tale of your life, who is the evil villain?   Satan is and will always be that evil villain that I strive to keep away frommy heart at all times.

In the fairy tale of your life, who is the loyal, comedic sidekick?  My kids provide so much humor and laughs in my life.

In the fairy tale of your life, what comes right after “Once upon a time…?”  I was so bless in life by God that….

In the fairy tale of your life, who is the fairy godmother?  The only one that can grant my prayers and sometimes even wishes is God and if they are not meant for me then he shows me the correct path!

We had a very neat time at the zoo today but boy oh boy was it hot out there. My eyes have only double in uncomfortableness. I really should have gotten some of that eye wrinkle cream I was thinking about yesterday!!! Oh we so live and learn. Today was such a nice birthday for Joel and I hope that it was not too bad for our sick little guy who was not feeling well and got sick on the way to the zoo and then again about an hour after we got back. On a good note after a week long vacation I have very little laundry to do because it seemed silly to just clean the stuff Logan got sick on. So I did all of our laundry and it feels great! I have somany neat things to share but we are just to tired so I will be hitting the hay here soon. We are off to the Children’s museum tomorrow and then home.

We have been on vacation for about 5 days now and even though we have spent plenty of time inside and enjoying the shade I got a bit too much sun today at the Creation Museum.  We did the part of the museum called the Garden of Eden and it was really hot out there.  My face is screaming and I am not sure if it’s from the sun or the humidty.  No matter what I think I’ll be making a run to the store to look for some of the best eye cream available out there because my eyes are screaming!!! We are off to the zoo tomorrow and it’s suppose to another hot one. We are having a great time though with our friends and I will back blog to tell about every great day of our trip. Plus when I get home I’ll share the neat picture we had taken.

What’s your favorite zoo animal?  I would have to say it would be the Giraffe especially the ones at Binder Park Zoo that let you feed and touch them.

What’s your favorite circus act? The trapeze acts and the clowns a little drama with some comedy!

When did you last attend (or participate in) a parade? We go to at least one a year or mroe if possible in our area for local celebrations.

When did you last attend a sporting event? Maddie’s last soccer game just before Memorial Day weekend.

What unique festivals does your area feature in celebration of some kind of food? Most of our local ones aren’t really about food but always have lots of great food events. With being practically in Grand Haven also known as Coast Guard City that is a huge 10 day celebration and everyone talks about it all year long.
