I would probably use it to upgrade our trailer some how.

Taboo words: invisibility, x-ray vision, flying, strength, transform.
Hummm I wish I could always know the right decision LOL!

Earning from home

Jul-30-2009 By Tina

I recently got a new at hope option to earn a little money. I don’t really know much about it yet and really want to look into it more. It for a company called IRI. They send you a barcode scanner and when you come home from shopping you scan your items that you bought. It helps keep track of what the general consumer is buying and I’m guessing to better make products for the most liked stuff. I think it seems pretty easy and I am going to look into it more when we get home from our little trip. Has anyone else ever done this? I’d love to learn more from those who have actually done it. It seems pretty simple and easy to do as a stay at home mom who does the shopping and it would make a little money. Won’t hear me complain about making a little money for my family.

Flip flops

Jul-30-2009 By Tina

Are you picky like me about your flip flops? I have to be picky with my foot and all. But even before I broke it last summer I started to become more picky because of the SI joint issues while preggo with Logan. It taught me that a cheap shoe can really screw with your body plus even though it seems like you are saving money they don’t last long. I bought a pair of Teva flip flops which are still part of the “cheap” ones even for the higher quality ones but I love them! I went to Earth’s Edge this morning and I got 2 pairs of new ones on sale for $17 each. If you never have had your foot in a Teva Mush then you do no know Teva heaven. They are for all foot types because they literally mush to your foots shape. I have had a pair now for almost 2 years and I still wear them all of the time. They are in the washer right now becase they also wash up really well. I love them and can’t wait to see more of them on sale. Go try a pair on now!!!

Going back to school

Jul-25-2009 By Tina

Well in the next few weeks I am going to truly figure out my options for finishing a degree of sorts. I am looking into all sorts of possibilities. One option I am really interested in is the online classes options. A lot of places offer online MBA programs more readily than BS/BA’s. The University of Scranton is well known for it’s 100% completely online AACSB program that allows people to finish their MBA in 2 years. They also offer a great selection of online BS programs for people like me who can’t get out to finish their degree. It’s just so hard to know what schools are good and which ones are just making money. However since they were ranked by The Princeton Review as one of the top 15 I think they might be a great online option.

I have no idea what way I am going to go but if I go the online route they are for sure on my radar to check into along with Baker. I may start with GVSU though so that I can see if there is a way to jus have to take my last 5 classes that I need there. Wish my luck and send lots of prayers!

Friday 5: Usefulness

Jul-24-2009 By Tina

What’s something in your possession that has long outlived its usefulness? The broken snowblower that we have because we are hoping to sell for parts this winter but we have not used in a couple of years now.

Who in your life has proven to be a very useful person to know?  My dear friend Heather… she has taught me so much about cars, RV’s, and child safety!!!

For group projects requiring collaborative planning and then collaborative execution, in what capacity are you most useful?  Leadership and planning… however execution I suck at so I need a co leader to push me along!

What’s something someone gave you that you didn’t think much of but later became surprisingly useful? My grandparents gave us a ton of odds and ends when we bought our old pop up from them.  I didn’t think we’d use coffee perkulators but I totally do now.

What is the most useful book in your house?  My cook books and the BIBLE!!!!

Deals

Jul-24-2009 By Tina

So recently Target had a big deal on the new best diet pills that are FDA approved and OTC called Alli. Well I thought hey I’d like to lose another 10lbs and want to be really disciplined about it. Since you have to be perfect on the diet or bad side effects occur I thought I’d look into it. Well come to find out I actually weigh 12lbs less than the over amount they want you to be to sue their product. Which means I am doing pretty darn good on my own if I weigh too little for their pills. WAAHOOO!!!!!!

Family Reunion

Jul-18-2009 By Tina

Today we are off to Family Reunion on Joel’s Dad’s side of the family. I thought I’d be more stressed to be getting ready to put the kids in the car but I know once we get there they will have a great time with their cousins. We haven’t seen all of them in a really long time… probably since Christmas time. I am looking forward to just spending time with his family because we always have a nice time. Have a great Saturday everyone!!!

Humm

Do you remember back a while ago when I talked about insurance quotes? Reason I ask is because Joel actually looked more into and found a better deal for us on our insurance. I think it’s so funny he read my blog and did some more looking into things again and found an even better rate yet again. Maybe i should read his blog more often and I will also get some things from it as well. Granted how much can someone so not tech smart get something from a tech blog LOL! Maybe reading his blog isn’t 100% for me but I could scan it more often.

What?

Jul-18-2009 By Tina

Advertisements totally make me wonder… why would a dentist in Texas use a magazine sold across the US to advertise their business. I was waiting for Joel to get out a restroom with the girls at a rest stop the other day and was scanning a magazine and saw an advertisement for Plano Cosmetic Dentist. I looked at it closely and the address said Texas. I was and still am baffled by that knowing I was in Ohio and it was a national magazine and it was for something in Texas. Do you ever find that strange too?

Friday 5: Scattergories

Jul-17-2009 By Tina

What random letter was generated by the online random-letter generator? (this doesn’t really count as one of your five questions)  My letter came back as an “s”.

With what famous person, whose name begins with the letter in question #1, would you most like to be stuck on a desert island? If I wasn’t married I wouldn’t mind being stuck on an island with Shane West.

What food item, whose name begins with the letter in question #1, can always be found in your pantry? Spaghetti

What song, whose title begins with the letter in question #1, always makes you feel good?  I love the song “Set the World on Fire” by Britt Nicole.

What is your least-favorite film whose title begins with the letter in question #1? Scream would probably top the list as it’s the only one I can think of right now that was lame and predictible…. yet I still watched them all.

What unusual animal, whose name begins with the letter in question #1, would be a fun pet? I think it’d be cool to have a Saki monkey even if it’s just for a few hours.
