Friday 5: Turning

To whom do you normally turn when you need to complain about something? For the most part I go to my husband about everything… good, bad, and ugly!

Which annual season-turning do you enjoy the most?  I love the FALL!!!

Where can you get a really good turnover? Meijer in the frozen section.  Pepperidge Farms Turnovers rock my world.

What’s employee turnover like where you work? There is no turnover it’s just me as the SAHM.

One of the Wonder Twins could turn into any form of water, while the other could turn into any animal. Which of these powers would be more useful to you? Animal I guess but this is just a strange question all around!

Thinking

I know the thought of me thinking is a scary thought in general but it does happen.  But I am thinking that where I love to clothing shop for kids (mine and others), my husband loves to shop for electronics.  He got to buy a new desktop for his job and he is in love with it.  He even had to show our neihbor yesterday that came over for Allie’s small party.  Then I think wha made it better is that my Sister and Brother-in-law asked him to keep an eye out for laptop deals for them.  It’s sad but I know he will enjoy that just as much as I love helping other look for outfits for their own kids. LOL

Partners in Crime…

Well Allie is going have a very interesting year this year being 4 and all…. granted she is still 6 days away from her actual Birthday.  She has apparently decided to take up a new hobby.  It’s called Make-up artist… except with a unique make-up tool.  She used a Doodle Bear Pen, a pen for those bears you can write on and then throw in the washer to clean them off to start over again.  She did this about 15 mins before we suppose to leave for her preschool.  I was not able to look at her with a straight face.  She also applied her new skill to her brother as well.  My biggest fear was that she was going to have to go to preschool like that.   So please enjoy!!!

Friday 5: Quarterly Progress Check

Would you say 2009 so far is meeting expectation, exceeding expectations, or failing to meet expectations? I am very happy with how 2009 is going and am very excited to see how much better it can get.

What letter grade would you give yourself for your performance at work or school? Neither apply to me.

On a scale from 1 to 10, how happy have you been with the weather so far in 2009? If 1 is horrible and 10 is awesome I would say about a 3.  But we are at Spring now and are moving closer to a 6.  Summer is 7 and fall is a 10!!!

Which of the Motion Picture Association of America’s film ratings would you give your social life so far in 2009? Rated PG: PARENTAL GUIDANCE SUGGESTED—Some material may not be suitable for children.  For the most part my children can be a part of my social life but there are times when them being there is not the best for any of us!!!

2009’s parents are on the phone and want to know how 2009 can improve its performance. What have been 2009’s areas of strength and what are its areas for growth in the second quarter? Motivation needs to be the main goal.  Get up and do the things in my head is the theme.

Doctors

Everytime I go to the Doctors for myself or the kids I know something interesting will happen that will make the wait go a bit faster.  The other day when I had to take Allie to the doctor because she woke up with a horrible tummy ache and was bawling in pain did not fail to perk my ears.  While we were waiting for the receptionist to run the Credit card I heard a nurse on the phone ask about vaginal dryness.  This totally peaked my interest because I was in a pediatrician’s office.  The rest of the questions from what I gathered though led me to believe it was for a teenage patient possibly dealing with her first yeast infection.  However it was the last thing I thought that I would hear about in waiting for Allie to be seen by a doctor for sure.

Friday 5: It’s Cold!

What’s your favorite frozen heat-and-eat food? I love Lasagna even the frozen ones that can go in the microwave!

How sensitive are you to cool temperatures?  I don’t like them but I deal… I do live in Michigan.

How many ice-cube trays are there in your freezer?  None we have an ice maker.

What aspect of your life seems to be frozen in place?  My organization… I know what needs to be done but never seem to get it done.

What’s your favorite blanket like?  A warm, fluffly, Chenille blanket from one of our couches.

Crazy

Sometimes I feel like I am going to lose my mind and just go crazy.  Then I remember that I’m already there.  The other day was one of those days where I thought locking myself out of the hosue might be a good idea.  Then the mail came and there was a Argentina travel brochure in the mix of all of the junk mail.  For a split second I thought…hmm maybe they would never know I left.  At the same time Logan ran up to me saying mama and gave me a big hug.  That brochure went right in the trash because there is no other place I’d rather be even if it is crazy.

Countdown

Well the countdown to our big trip is almost on since we need to book it in the next month or so.  We still have some details to figure out. Like which airline we are going to fly on out of Grand Rapids.  We also need to decide if we wan to purchase travel insurance.  Even though there are still some things to figure out we are very excited about going and taking a break from every day life.

What memories do you have of your high-school chemistry course?  I remember there was one day where we were in the lab and I spilled some of the thing we were doing on my nylons and completely ruined them.  My mom had to bring me new ones because we had to have them for our choir concert.

On March 6, 1853, Giuseppe Verdi’s opera La Traviata premiered in Venice. How do you feel about opera?  I never really given it a chance and really don’t have much interest.  I’m more of the musical type.

Happy

Well we so happy to have our new Yukon.  It’s been almost a week and even though we have seen a few things here and there that need to be taken care of when it goes in on Monday for re-certification and small repairs things are great.  Most of all of the automotive performance partsthat make the SUV run perfectly are in perfect running order. That would be the most important thing. The little things are like a chip in the windshield, back wiper, and driver mirror are the main things needing attention. I am just so happy now to be in the vehicle!!!
